Safety Advice on Gate Hoist Machines

1. The construction unit should install the hoist on a flat and solid foundation with a good view, and the fuselage and ground anchor must be firm. It is required that the center line of the hoist and the guide pulley should be vertically aligned, and the distance between the hoist and the pulley should generally not be less than 15 meters.

2. Before the adjustment operation, the wire rope, clutch, brake, safety ratchet, transmission pulley, etc. should be checked to ensure that it is safe and reliable before operation. The wire ropes must be neatly arranged on the reel, and at least three laps should be reserved during the operation. During operation, no one is allowed to cross the wire rope of the hoist to prevent accidents.

3. When hoisting heavy objects needs to stay in the air, in addition to using the brake, the ratchet safety card should be used. During operation, it is strictly forbidden to leave the post without authorization.

4. During the work, the commander’s signal should be obeyed. When the signal is unclear or may cause an accident, the operation should be suspended, and the operation can be continued after the situation is clarified. If there is a sudden power failure during operation, the knife should be opened immediately and the transported objects should be put down.
